Cell phone manufacturer Spice Mobiles today said its net profit stood at Rs 8.6 crore for the quarter ended June 2009, however, it had a net loss of Rs 0.5 crore in the same period last year.     

Total income rose to Rs 18.24 crore in the latest quarter against Rs 12.77 crore in the same period last fiscal, the cell phone manufacturer said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
