RPG Life Sc launches Impulse, boosts cardio-vascular portfolio
Press Trust of India / Mumbai Aug 17, 2010, 13:29 IST

In its efforts to further spruce up marketing set-up, RPG Life Sciences has launched its third vertical, Impulse, to focus on the growing cardio-metabolic segment of the pharmaceutical business.

This was preceded by the launch of Empathy (neuro-psychiatry division) and Neolife (oncology division) last month, a press release issued here today stated.

RPG Life Sciences is ranked 39th amongst the pharma companies focusing on the cardiovascular segment in India, with well-known brands like Aldactone and Spiromide.

The cardio-metabolic division, Impulse, will help improve its presence in this segment substantially with a team of 115 people across India.

The objective of the division is to help RPG Life Sciences to be amongst the top 20 companies in cardiovascular therapy segment in India by 2015, the release said.

This will be achieved by launching new products to cater to various therapeutic needs in cardio-metabolic segment and aggressive marketing strategies.

The launch of Impulse will further fortify the company’s aggressive growth plans, the release said.

RPG Life Sciences is an important player in the formulations, bulk drugs and bio-tech businesses. The company is present both in the domestic as well as in the international markets. Product exports range from Europe, Latin America, Africa, Canada to the South-East Asian countries.

The company is a part of RPG group, one of India's leading business groups with a turnover of Rs 16,000-crore.
