About 50 workers of tyre manufacturer MRF's Arakkonam unit, who allegedly tried to gatecrash into the company's office here demanding recognition of their union were 'chased away' by police.

Police said the workers of the Arakkonam unit of the company, who are entangled in a wage dispute, pelted stones and damaged some vehicles parked nearby.
