Income Tax (I-T) department today raided premises owned by a leading edible oil manufacture in over half a dozen cities in Madhya Pradesh and other parts of the country, a top I-T official said.

More than 250 I-T staffers besides those from other departments were engaged in raids on K S Oils in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Guna, Ratlam, Morena and Sheopur Kala since morning following reports of tax evasion by the company, he said.

The company officials were not available for comment.
