| Hyundai Motor unveils vision for sustainable growth |

Leading automaker Hyundai Motor Co has said it will rev up efforts to significantly improve the fuel efficiency of its vehicles and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
In its annual report on sustainable growth, the company also said its vehicles will be designed in a way that will allow 95 per cent of them from 2015 to be recycled or reused when they go out of service.
"The report has been published every year since 2003 to help make the company's determination and achievements toward sustainable growth transparent to related parties," the South Korean auto-major said in a press release yesterday.
The report consists mainly of four parts, each dealing with the company's vision on management, economy, environment and its social responsibilities.
To join international efforts to fight global warming, Hyundai Motor will work to improve its vehicles' fuel efficiency by 50 per cent before 2020 under its Blue Drive initiative launched two years ago, according to Hyundai.
"Hyundai Motor will continue to pursue socially responsible management based on its dialogue and cooperation with other related parties," it said. (Yonhap)
