Ashok Kumar Singh, CMD, CMPDIL, Ranchi assumed the additional charge of CMD of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), a Coal India (CIL) company, with effect from 1st Sept,2010.

A B.Tech. in Mining Engineering from Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, he did Post Graduate Certificate in 1976 and Post Graduate Diploma in Long wall Mine Mechanization (DISM) from ISM. He has working experience of over three decades in coal mining sector, wherein, he served in various capacities in production and planning and management in different subsidiaries of Coal India Viz BCCL, CCL, CMPDIL & NCL.
